Newlywed couple found dead in their bedroom in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: A newlywed couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances in their bedroom in Cantonment, here on Sunday morning.
While Shivani (22) was found dead on the bed, her husband Pradeep (25) was found hanging from ceiling fan.
The incident came to light when family members found that the couple had not woken up by 7 am and knocked on the door. Receiving no response, they broke the door open and found the bodies. The wedding took place on Mar 7 and the reception was scheduled for Sunday. Shivani arrived at Pradeep's home on Saturday morning. The family was preparing for their reception when the tragedy unfolded. The incident took place in Murawan Tola, Sahadatganj in Cantonment area.
Pradeep's brother Deepak Kumar, stated, "The wedding was arranged a year ago and there were no problems. My brother was extremely happy. We took photos together at the wedding and everything went smoothly. What happened in just a few hours remains a mystery."
Shivani's father Mantu Ram Paswan said, "The wedding was filled with joy and my daughter and son-in-law were happy. But within four-five hours of her arrival, everything changed. We don't know what happened."Police said that Pradeep (24) was a tiles worker and had one brother and three sisters. His father passed away three years ago, while Shivani (22) was a resident of Deeley Saraiya and studied till the eighth grade. She was the eldest among three siblings.
The forensic team investigating the case based on the crime scene suspects that the groom killed the bride by strangling her and then took his own life. "However, a probe is being done in the case," a senior forensic expert who visited the crime scene said.
SSP, Ayodhya, Raj Karan Nayyar, stated, "The door was locked from the inside, making external involvement unlikely. However, a post-mortem report will clarify the cause of death."
Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad visited the groom's family, offering condolences. He said, "This is an extremely tragic incident. The family will receive all possible support."
