CHENNAI: The 56th Raising Day of the
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was celebrated at the 4th Reserve Battalion, Sivagangai, on Monday.
Commencing the event, senior commandant Shankar Kumar Jha highlighted the significance of the Raising Day and the vital contributions of the CISF in nation-building. He emphasised how the CISF evolved into a multi-dimensional force, playing a crucial role in securing key industrial, economic and strategic establishments across the country.
Addressing the gathering, G Ravi, Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University and the chief guest of the event, lauded the CISF’s contribution to economic development. He stated that the force not only protects vital industries but also ensures the smooth functioning of key sectors like aviation, metro networks, space research, and disaster management.
