Officials inspect Hope Island to explore tourism potential

Kakinada district Collector Sagili Shan Mohan directed the officials of Forest, Police, Marine Security departments and the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board authorities to prepare a draft on the tourism potential of Hope Island, situated off the coast of Kakinada. 

Mr. Shan Mohan, accompanied by Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary authorities, visited Hope Island on Monday to assess the possibilities to propose tourism activities and explore its potential to be a prime tourist destination. District Forest Officer A. Raveendranath Reddy, Superintendent of Police (SP) Bindu Madhav, Port Officer Dharmasastha and fisheries officials also took part in the inspection.
