Myriad hues of LU’s women’s day events

Lucknow: Various departments of the Lucknow University celebrated International Women's Day with events promoting women's empowerment, health and inclusivity on Saturday.
Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), organised a programme focusing on women's health, safety and empowerment. The event featured expert sessions, street plays and an honorary felicitation of women faculty members and security personnel for their invaluable contribution.
Department of Zoology hosted a two-day celebration with competitions, cultural performances, and a felicitation ceremony recognising women in academia and administration. The event fostered creativity and dialogue, emphasising gender inclusivity within the university.
LU's cultural wing, Sanskritiki, organised an event in which a feminist literary and film society was launched.
