Rising Temperatures in Madhya Pradesh: Heat Intensifies as Cold Winds Subside

Bhopal, March 9 – As cold winds retreat, Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a significant rise in temperatures, with daytime mercury soaring past 36°C in several cities. Indore, Ujjain, and Jabalpur divisions are already feeling the heat, and after March 15, temperatures are expected to rise even further.

According to the , a western disturbance is set to become active over the western Himalayan region on Sunday, which may have some impact on Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. However, for now, no rainfall is expected.

Over the past four days, northern winds triggered a severe cold wave across the state, breaking 10-year records in Bhopal and several other cities. Temperatures dropped as low as 6°C in smaller towns like Rajgarh, Shajapur, Umaria, Mandla, Nowgong, and Malajkhand, with cold wave conditions prevailing in many areas.

However, Saturday night saw a notable temperature increase in most cities:
