Mumbai: A timely intervention by a railway security personnel at Borivali railway station saved a woman commuter from a potentially fatal accident after she lost her balance while alighting from a moving train.
The Ministry of Railways shared a video of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), urging passengers to avoid boarding or getting off moving trains.
“At Borivali railway station in Maharashtra, a woman lost her balance and fell while getting down from a moving train. The railway security personnel present there acted promptly and saved her,” the ministry stated in its post.
The incident highlights the dangers of boarding or alighting from moving trains and the critical role of railway security personnel in ensuring passenger safety.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and station authorities continue to emphasize the importance of following safety protocols while traveling.
