SASTRA Law School wins the 15th K.R. Ramamani Tax Moot court competition

SASTRA Law School won the 15th K.R. Ramamani Tax Moot court competition on Sunday.

In the event organised by The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence, and Subbaraya Aiyar, Padmanabhan and Ramamani Advocates (SAPR), the SASTRA Law School team — B. Jenitha Dharshini, K. Swaminathan and B. Krishnaprasad — final year of the 5-Year Integrated Law Programme emerged winners, according to a press release.

“The moot problem was the violation of principles of natural justice while exercising provisions of Section 144C of Income Tax Act,” the release said.

They received a trophy and a cash prize of ₹50,000. Nearly 25 law schools took part in the competition.
