‘Clear encroachments in front of Bhadrakali temple’

Ahmedabad: The legal committee on Friday instructed officials to remove illegal constructions and encroachments. The chairman of the legal committee, Prakash Gurjar, said, "Following representation by the Bhadrakali Temple's priest, we have issued orders to remove such encroachments even though a court directive prohibits selling flowers or other worship materials by setting up tables, chairs or permanent structures in front of the temple."
"AMC has ordered the demolition of Momin Plaza, a six-storeyed illegal building," said Gurjar. Citing a contempt petition against those delaying Ankur Tower's demolition, he added that the building will be razed with police protection.
