The Perumalpuram police have arrested two persons for preparing fake government seals to illegally occupy a land.
According to police, Udhayakumar, 47, of Veeravanallur, who was working as temporary lab technician in Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital, and his associate Nagaraj, 48, of Kandigaiperi in Tirunelveli had prepared fake documents to illegally occupy the land of A. Elizabeth George, 63, of Parappaadi near Nanguneri in the district. Based on the complaint from Ms. Elizabeth, the Perumalpuram police filed a case.
During investigation, the police found that Udhayakumar and Nagaraj had prepared the fake documents with the help of the stamps they had prepared illegally. Besides arresting the duo, the police also seized fake Sub-Registrar, tahsildar and other government office seals from them on Friday.
