Mysuru Zoo’s summer camp for kids to start from April 14

The most-awaited summer camp for schoolchildren has arrived, with the Mysuru Zoo announcing its camp schedule for children aged between 12 and 18.

While the first batch of camp will start on April 14 and go on till April 23, the second batch commences from May 5 and ends on May 14.

The students will get exposure to the basics of captive wild animal management and wildlife conservation. Students can learn about the basics of biodiversity, animal behaviour, and the conservation of wildlife. There will be both theory and practical classes covering various aspects of the issues, stated a release.

Zoo officials and other subject matter specialists will interact with the participants during the camp.

Applications can be collected for both batches from the zoo office from March 10 to 15, and the last date for submitting the applications is March 17. The applications should accompany a recent stamp-size colour photograph along with age proof such as an Aadhaar card or birth certificate.

Only 60 students per batch will be selected on a first come first serve basis. For details, send an email to edumysore99@gmail.com

The summer camp will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

The fee for the camp is ₹2,000 per student which should be remitted while submitting the application, the release added.
