Cold winds bring max temp down to 32.3°C
Ahmedabad: The city saw the maximum temperature drop to 32.3 degrees celsius, 1.5 degrees lower than normal, due to cold winds on Wednesday.
This was primarily due to the wind direction changing from northerly to northeasterly. The minimum temperature at 21.5 degrees celsius, however, remained high as it was 4 degrees above normal.
The forecast by the India meteorological department (IMD) indicated the possibility of maximum and minimum temperatures reaching 34 degrees celsius and 17 degrees celsius, respectively, on Thursday. "No large change in maximum and minimum temperatures during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, a gradual rise by 3-5 degrees is very likely," mentioned the forecast.
Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6.2 degrees celsius, while Veraval saw the highest maximum temperature at 35.4 degrees celsius.
