Jaipur: Police Thursday detained eight people after members of two communities clashed at Daribon Mohalla in Chaksu, leading to stone pelting. The clash left four people injured, prompting police deployment in the area. Eight people were detained in connection with the incident.
According to Chaksu ACP Surendra Singh, the altercation began when some youths were sitting in Daribon Mohalla and local residents questioned their presence. An argument ensued, during which members of one group called for reinforcements over the phone. The situation quickly spiralled out of control, resulting in a violent confrontation with stone pelting. Four people sustained injuries in the clash and were taken to Chaksu SDH. Two of them, who were critically injured, were referred to Jaipur. tnn
