Ex-staff held for making threat call to JSR trader

Jamshedpur: A former employee of an eminent businessman was arrested on Thursday for making threat call to the latter, police said.
The accused, Rahul Tiwary alias Rahul Parikh of Purani Basti under Jugsalai police station area, rang up the industrialist on March 4, threatening to detonate his Adityapur-based car showroom. The trader, who resides in Circuit House (CH) area, filed a police complaint. A special investigation team (SIT), led by SP (city) Kumar Shivashish Kumar, was formed, police said.
SSP Kishore Kaushal said, "The accused is a former employee of the industrialist. His aim was to terrify the businessman and demand extortion. He obtained the phone of his acquaintance to make the call after lying that his phone was out of charge."
SIT nabbed the phone owner, whose statement led to the arrest of the accused.
