The nepotism debate in the Bollywood industry was sparked by Kangana Ranaut on Koffee With Karan when she called Karan Johar the “flag bearer of nepotism.” The tag was then given to all the star kids who were a part of the industry. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan reacted to a social media post where his son, Abhishek Bachchan, was referred to as a “victim of nepotism negativity.”
Big B reshared a social media post praising Abhishek Bachchan for his film choices and calling him a target of “nepotism negativity.” In response, Amitabh wrote, “I feel the same… and not just because I’m his father.”

Abhishek Bachchan, who will be seen in ‘Be Happy’ with Nora Fatehi, gets a shoutout from his dad. Senior Bachchan reshared the trailer of Abhishek’s upcoming film directed by Remo D’Souza, and wrote, “Abhishek, you are extraordinary – How you adapt and change with each film character is an art, which is incredible… love you Bhaiyu.”
‘Be Happy’ is a touching story about a father and daughter, bringing Abhishek back together with young actor Inayat Verma, his co-star from Ludo. The film is special for Abhishek, as his last release, I Want To Talk, also focused on a father-daughter relationship but didn’t do well at the box office.
