The district-level ‘Youth Parliament’ elocution competition for candidates between the age of 18 and 25 will be held here from March 10 to 17.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra L. Gnanachandran said aspiring youth from Tirunelveli, Kanniyakumari and Virudhunagar districts should upload their minute-long video on ‘Viskshit Bharat’ (Developed India) in Tamil, English or Hindi via mybharat.gov.in on or before March 9. The selected 150 candidates will be invited for the district-level elocution competition on ‘One nation, one election’ or ‘Laying foundation stone for developed India’. Of this, top 10 contestants will qualify for the State-level competition and top three winners of State-level competition will move to the national-level competition.
The national-level qualifiers will get opportunity to meet the national leaders and the policymakers. Moreover, they will be allowed to witness Parliamentary proceedings, he said.
