Perambalur government school renovated under ‘Namma School, Namma Ooru Palli’ scheme

Under the ‘Namma School, Namma Ooru Palli’ scheme of the State Government, Veritas Foundation has renovated Ladapuram Government High School in Perambalur district.

The project was launched in December 2022 and aimed at developing government schools, particularly to improve infrastructure, with private participation. The Ladapuram school was upgraded to a high school in 1980. A total of 166 students (80 boys and 86 girls) are currently studying in this school.

Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Veritas Foundation renovated the school at a cost of ₹2.5 crore. A new compound wall, upgraded sanitation facilities featuring toilets with automatic flush systems and incinerators for the disposal of sanitary napkins, provision of new classroom furniture, etc was made.

The renovated school was inaugurated by Collector Grace Pachuau in the presence of K.N. Arun Nehru, Member of Parliament, D. Arulmany, Founder & CEO, Veritas Foundation and T.S. Sridhar Chairman of the foundation.
