Three die in serial accident near Chitradurga

Three people died in a serial accident involving three trucks near Seebara on the outskirts of Chitradurga early on Wednesday.

A truck carrying apparel hit a parked truck, and a third truck carrying watermelons, hit the first.

Shekhar, 55, from Andhra Pradesh, Periya Swamy, 27, of Tamil Nadu, and Mohammed Kaif, 36, of Uttar Pradesh, died in the accident.

The parked truck was carrying paddy. It was parked on the highway because it had developed a snag. The serial accident disrupted the movement of vehicles on the National Highway.

The Chitradurga Rural Police reached the place and registered a case. Senior police officers visited the spot.
