LMC seals sports directorate over property tax dues

Lucknow: The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Monday sealed the premises of the sports directorate near KD Singh Babu Stadium for failing to clear outstanding property tax dues of Rs 79.06 lakh.
The action was executed by the zonal officers of LMC (Zone-1) after repeated notices went unanswered.
The move is a part of LMC's ongoing efforts to enforce tax compliance and send a strong message to govt departments that delays in tax payments would not be tolerated.
Officials said that such actions were necessary for LMC's revenue generation and ensure financial discipline among defaulters.
