The Choolaimedu police have arrested a Nigerian national who was allegedly the main drugs supplier for a cocaine cartel.

The suspect has been identified as Ebere Moses Ogbodo, 30. He was arrested in Bengaluru.

Earlier, the police, in separate crackdowns, arrested 19 persons who were part of a cocaine cartel that reportedly supplied synthetic drugs in the city. So far, the police seized 59.93 g of cocaine, 1.15 kg of ganja, ganja oil, and 14 mobile phones from the suspects.

After analysing the call records and bank transactions of the suspects, the police zeroed in on the main supplier, Ebere Moses Ogbodo. He was brought to the city from Bengaluru. He was produced in a court and later lodged in prison.
