JDA wants nod to fill 480 posts amid staff crunch
Jaipur: Grappling with acute shortage of staff, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has forwarded a proposal to the finance department to fill 480 posts.
Officials stated that against a total sanctioned strength of 1,932, more than 1,200 positions remain unfilled. Several of these vacant positions are currently occupied through the transfer of officials from urban development and other departments of the state govt. The remaining posts are being managed by select officials as additional responsibility.
"We are optimistic that finance department will soon approve our proposal. We will subsequently forward the recruitment information to Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) to issue the recruitment notifications," said a JDA official.
A JDA official revealed that 10 out of 31 posts are vacant in the administrative department and 29 of 54 posts of tehsildars and naib tehsildars are unfilled. Additionally, 27 of 41 posts of assistant administrative officer, 278 of 310 posts of junior assistant, 75 of 90 posts of senior assistant, and 33 of 73 posts of patwaris and amins are vacant. "Vacancies exist in other sections as well. Overall, about 66% of sanctioned posts in JDA are vacant," said another official. tnn
