Transport Minister inaugurates various project in Perambalur

Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar on Tuesday inaugurated various projects and laid the foundation for some others totalling ₹4.64 crore in Perambalur municipal limits. 

The Minister laid the foundation for the construction of a daily vegetable market which will have 93 shops. The existing daily market near the Perambalur old bus stand which was damaged has been demolished and a new market building is to be constructed in its place. The project is to be carried out at a cost of ₹2.48 crore under the Kalaignar Urban Development Scheme 2024-2025. 

The Minister inaugurated road improvement works to be executed at 26 places to a total distance of 4.24 kilometre in Perambalur municipal limits. He opened a ground level water tank with a one lakh litre capacity at Kalaignar Karunanidhi Nagar in Thuraimangalam.  Collector Grace Pachuau, Perambalur Lok Sabha MP K.N. Arun Nehru, Perambalur MLA M. Prabhakaran and others participated, an official release said.
