Office-bearers sworn in, Panchkula DBA demands parking space, chambers
Panchkula: The Panchkula DBA Monday called for the fulfilment of its demands of a proper parking space, chambers for lawyers in the courts and group housing for them. The newly elected office-bearers, who were sworn in on the day, said they would meet the chief minister with their demands
The president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary and executive members of DBA were administered the oath of office by Raj Kumar Chauhan, member of the bar council and chairman of its election committee. Former chairman of the Bar Council Punjab and Haryana, Randhir Singh Pradhan, was also present on the occasion.
Rakesh Sharma, the newly elected president of DBA (Panchkula), assured the advocates that the long-standing issues of the bar would be resolved soon. "Top priority will be given to building chambers for young lawyers and solving the parking problem. We will soon meet the CM."
