A resident of Malerkotla in Punjab, IAS officer Yunus is an officer of 2010 batch. He is known in the administration world for his conscious efforts towards gym and fitness. Additionally, he also likes playing guitar and likes old songs. The talented IAS officer, known for his simplicity, often stays away from the limelight. He is regarded as someone who is a fitness freak and sweats it out for hours in the gym, as per a report by News 18. Notably, his wife Anjum Ara, is the second Muslim woman IPS in the country.

When IAS Yunus adopted martyr’s family

“Khushdeep is a daughter of a very brave soldier who sacrificed his life for the nation. When my wife and I learnt about it, we decided to come forward and support the family. We will support the education and career of Khushdeep. She is too young to decide what she will become. But whatever she wants to be, a doctor, engineer or even enter the civil services, we will give our best to fulfil the dream”, Yunus Khan said about his gesture.

“It is a very small contribution. Our effort is to support a child of a martyr who laid down his life for our country. She also saw the house that Paramjit Singh was constructing for his kids”, his wife Anjum Ara said.

Yunus Khan’s love for Indian Army

IAS officer Yunus Khan grabbed headlines in 2023 as he and his wife celebrated Diwali with soldiers at the Diwali Longewala post. Also, his interest towards the army has been highlighted by the fact that the IAS officer Yunus Khan had visited the world’s highest battlefield Siachen to meet the soldiers of Indian Army.
