During Reserve Bank of India’s Financial Literacy Week (February 24 to 28), State Bank of India (SBI) organised a series of financial literacy camps in Bengaluru to promote women’s financial empowerment.
On February 27, SBI Bengaluru, focused on reaching women across Karnataka by conducting over 126 camps, with participation from various groups, including Self-Help Group members, Anganwadi workers, agricultural workers, entrepreneurs, ASHAs, students, and homemakers.
The camps aimed to provide financial knowledge and resources to 5,429 women from different backgrounds.
Joohi Smitha Sinha, Chief General Manager of SBI Bengaluru, emphasised that financially-empowered women play a crucial role in driving economic growth and supporting businesses, households, and overall national development.
