Angry over girl’s marriage, man attacks her mom

Hyderabad: A man was taken into custody after he attacked the mother of a girl he was harassing and pressuring for love in Karimnagar on Sunday.
According to police, the accused, Raj Kumar, was upset that the girl was getting married to another man.
Police said that both the accused and the girl's family belonged to Vannaram village. Kumar pressured the girl for love. Despite her refusal, he continued to harass her, police added.
On hearing this, the girl's mother found a suitable match for her.
Following this, Kumar came to talk to the girl's mother. During the argument, he assaulted her mother and pushed her to the ground. Later, he tried to strangle her.
The entire incident was recorded by the victim's family. The video went viral.
Though the girl tried to intervene, the accused pushed her away and continued to strangle her mother. Later, the local villagers came to her rescue and took him away. The locals alerted the police, who took him into custody.
