Over 78,000 students to appear for public examination across four districts

With the Plus Two public examination commencing in Tamil Nadu on Monday, a total of 19,816 students from Tirunelveli, 16,961 from Tenkasi, 22,461 from Kanniyakumari and 19,496 from Thoothukudi district are set to appear for the examination.

All arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of examination in the districts.

In Tirunelveli district, a total of 19,816 students (8,921 boys and 10,895 girls) will take the exam across 73 centres in the district. Additionally, four centres have been allocated for private candidates. To ensure proper monitoring, examination centre supervisors and flying squads have been appointed. More than 2,000 teachers, officials and staff are involved in examination related duties.

In Tenkasi district, 16,961 students (7,892 boys and 9,069 girls) will appear for the exam across 66 centres in the district.

In Thoothukudi district, a total of 19,496 students (8,887 boys and 10,609 girls) are appearing for the examination.

Meanwhile in Kanniyakumari district a total of 22,461 students (10,924 boys and 11,537 girls) will appear for the exam with 85 centres across the district.

Officials assigned to examination duties have been given special training and guidance adhering to Tamil Nadu government’s regulations. Measures have been taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply, adequate police security and necessary facilities for the students.
