A-listed Hollywood celebrities who deserved to win an Oscar: Bradley Cooper to Amy Adams

Several A-List celebrities have received Oscar nominations in several categories but have yet to win an Academy Award, despite their sheer brilliance. On the hindsight, Amy Adams received nominations for Junebug, Doubt, and The Fighter, among other films, and Bradley Cooper received nominations for his films, including Maestro, Silver Lining Playbook, A Star is Born, and American Sniper.

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper has repeatedly shown himself to be one of the most adaptable actors in the business. Despite the widespread praise for his roles in Maestro and The Silver Lining Playbook, he was nominated for several Oscars for the films but has yet to win any. For his 2024 film, which he wrote, directed, performed in, and even joined as a producer, the movie star received his most recent nominations. Cooper was also nominated for two screenplays: Maestro and Silver Lining Playbook.

Paul Thomas Anderson

Over the course of his filmmaking career, the director has suffered the most Oscar defeats. Out of the eleven nominations, Paul Thomas Anderson received five for his films Inherent Vice, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Licorice Pizza, and There Will Be Blood. For the latter, the filmmaker was nominated for Best Screenplay as well. In addition, the filmmaker has been nominated for three Best Picture awards.

Amy Adams

The actress of Nightbitch fame has her name permanently inscribed on the list of famous people who have yet to receive an Oscar. Throughout her acting career, Adams has been nominated for five Academy Awards. The movie star received nominations for her roles in The Fighter, Junebug, Doubt, Vice, and The Master. The actress also received a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Glenn Close

Glenn Close loved for The Natural, The Big Chill, and The World According to Garp has been nominated eight times. Close received the other four nominations for her films Albert Nobbs, Dangerous Liaisons, The Wife, and Fatal Attraction.

Thomas Newman

Thomas Newman was nominated fifteen times throughout his career as a composer. In 1994, the artist received his first nomination for Shawshank Redemption for his composition. Newman wrote 13 more songs after the nomination, and the artist was nominated for all of the songs namely “American Beauty,” “Finding Nemo,” “Skyfall,” “Bridge of Spies,” and “Passengers”.
