Patna: Patna district magistrate (DM) Chandrashekhar Singh on Saturday asked the officials concerned to complete the construction of the road overbridge (ROB) connecting NH-30 and SH-106 near Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College by May this year.
He said the riverfront projects along the Ganga in Bakhtiyarpur, including a 300-metre-long ghat and a 2.5-km-pathway, be completed by the end of May. Singh was inspecting the progress of these projects on Saturday.
He said the ROB, linking NH-30 and SH-106, would be highly beneficial for students and faculty of Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College, as well as the general public of the adjoining areas. He urged officials to accelerate construction work to ensure timely completion.
While reviewing the under-construction building of Ganesh High School in Bakhtiyarpur, Singh said that the five-storey structure would feature 45 classrooms capable of accommodating 2,250 students. He said the new school building would have five laboratories, four smart classrooms, a sports hall, an examination hall, a library, an auditorium, two common rooms, a lift and other essential amenities.
He added that the ground floor would house laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology, along with separate common rooms for boys and girls and toilets. Mathematics and computer laboratories would be located on the first and third floors, respectively.
The DM said all ongoing projects should be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
