26-year-old peddler arrested with Mephedrone

Nagpur: A 26-year-old peddler, identified as Shubham Gajbhiye, was caught with around 25gm of narcotics, specifically Mephedrone powder, in his possession during an operation. He was apprehended by laying a trap on Tarodi Khurd Road in the early hours of Friday by a team of Wathoda police under Senior inspector Harish Borade.
Sources stated that the Wathoda police were put on alert by CP Ravinder Singal following a spate of complaints from the management of a reputed institution about the increasing peddling of MD powder for addiction in the vicinity. The police conducted searches and kept a tight vigil on the pan kiosks near the institution.
Following a tip-off, Gajbhiye was caught by Wathoda police. He was previously apprehended around a year ago with MD in his possession. Gajbhiye also has a past case of assault.
