Tejashwi mocks NDA govt in state, calls for change
Patna: Leader of opposition in state assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, on Saturday took a dig at the BJP-led NDA govt in the state, comparing its 20-year rule to 15-year-old vehicles banned for pollution.
"In Bihar, vehicles that are 15 years old are not allowed to operate because they emit more smoke, increase pollution and are harmful to the public. So why should the 20-year-old unstable and rickety NDA govt be allowed to continue?" Tejashwi asked in a post on X.
He accused the Nitish-led govt of spreading "severe pollution" in the form of poverty, unemployment, corruption, crime and migration across the state. "This govt has now become a burden on the people of Bihar and it is essential to change it," said Tejashwi, who served as deputy CM in the previous Grand Alliance govt.
The RJD leader added, "The youth of Bihar have resolved to remove the 20-year-old unreliable, rickety, sick and exhausted NDA govt and bring in a new, visionary and energetic leadership dedicated to youth, employment and development."
Reacting to Tejashwi's remarks, deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said, "The Lalu family is constantly abusing Nitish Kumar. But Nitish will continue working for another 15 years. There is no need to worry."
Another deputy CM, Vijay Kumar Sinha, questioned Tejashwi's own political legacy. "Before commenting on Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi should first ask his father, Lalu Prasad, to step down as RJD's national president," Sinha said. Accusing the RJD of being power-hungry, Sinha said, "They have abandoned all morality in their desperation for power."
