Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 115.50 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 93 cusecs and a discharge of 400 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 61.61 feet (the maximum level is 71 feet) with an inflow of 241 cusecs and a discharge of 722 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,925.57 mcft. The rainfall (in mm) recorded during the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was as follows: Kallandiri 9, Pulipatti 4.2, Melur and Shanmuganadhi dam 4, Kodaikanal 3.4, Thekkadi 3.2, Sothupparai dam 3, Mullaperiyar dam 2.4, Viraganur 1.4, Madurai and Manjalar dam 1 each, Gudalur and Elumalai 0.6. each.
