2 youths found dead in Gurgaon with bullet wounds in hotel room
Gurgaon: The bodies of a 23-year-old man and a woman (20), each with a bullet injury, were found lying side-by-side on a bed inside a hotel room in Manesar on Monday night.
Police said the room was bolted from inside when the bodies were found, covered with a blanket up to their chest, after cops broke open the room's door.
They suspect that the youngsters – Komal, an undergraduate student from Kherki Daula and Nikhil, an ITI diploma holder from Pataudi -- were in a relationship and planned a suicide pact. Komal's family had fixed her marriage with another man on April 25.
But Komal's cousin Sunil on Tuesday night filed a complaint, alleging that Nikhil had killed the 20-year-old. Police said they have registered an FIR under section 103(1) of BNS for murder and provisions of the Arms Act.
Investigators believe the couple may have tried to poison themselves as they found a packet of insecticide pills lying in the hotel room and one of the occupants had hurled in the bathroom there. "Both of them had one gunshot each on their chests," a senior police officer said on Tuesday.
Cops said they were called by Komal's family members who were searching for her after she left her home to go to college in Manesar on Monday morning but did not return till evening. Nikhil's father said police informed him about the deaths on Monday night.
A police spokesperson said, "Prima facie, the case appears to be suicide as the door was bolted from inside, but cops are looking into all aspects of the case."
