Man kills wife over ‘affair’, surrenders

New Delhi: A 24-year-old man surrendered to police after allegedly killing his wife over suspicion of an extramarital affair in northeast Delhi's Nand Nagri area on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Aman, walked into Harsh Vihar police station around 5 PM and confessed to murdering his 20-year-old wife. Following his confession, a police team was dispatched to the scene, where they found the victim in a strangulated condition. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead.
According to police, Aman and the deceased got married in Nov 2023. The couple had a history of frequent arguments. On Tuesday afternoon, around 2 PM, Aman allegedly strangled his wife in a fit of rage, suspecting her of having an extramarital relationship. tnn
