DMK youth wing cadre staged a demonstration outside the India Post office here against the imposition of the three-language policy by the Union Government.
The protesters raised slogans against the Union Government for linking the release of education funds to the implementation of the National Education Policy, and alleged that the Union Government was forcefully trying to impose Hindi.
The protesters, joined by Congress and VCK cadres, marched from the taluk office to the office of India Post, where they smeared black paint over Hindi words at the post office board.
