Man gets life sentence for murdering his wife

The Mahila Court in Tirunelveli has awarded life imprisonment to a labourer for murdering his wife.

According to prosecution, Sudalaiyandi, 43, of Pazhavoor under Pazhavoor police station limits in the district attacked his wife Jayalakshmi, 34, on January 10, 2022 following a domestic quarrel. She died on the spot and the Pazhavoor police arrested Sudalaiyandi.

Mahila Court Judge Panneerselvam awarded life imprisonment to Sudaliyandi on Tuesday and imposed a fine of ₹1,000.
