Dist panchayat wins Jagratha Samiti Award

T'puram: Thiruvananthapuram district panchayat secured first place in the Jagratha Samiti Awards for the 2024-25 financial year. The panchayat received the award for its outstanding efforts in addressing violence, rights violations and restrictions on women and girls with the support of the Women's Commission. The district also won the award for the best-performing corporation.
In the municipality category, Koyilandy municipality secured the top spot. Each winner received a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a plaque and a certificate of recognition.
