A group of miscreants created chaos in Vadgaon Sheri by vandalizing vehicles and spreading panic during the annual yatra. The incident took place around 1 AM on Saturday.  

Chandan Nagar police have registered a case against 13 individuals involved in the violence. The accused have been identified as Ropi Someshwar Panchal, Sahil Rathod, Bajrang Patole, Swapnil Tupasmindre, Raj Gaikwad, Sharad Kamble, Rohit Rathod, Altaf Sheikh, Ganesh Salgar, Kunal Parihar, Omi, Vitthal, and Manoj Navgire. The complaint was filed by Rohit Dhanaji Desai (24), a resident of Yogeshwar Society near Kurkute Hospital.  

According to the police, a group was shouting and causing a disturbance on the road. When a local resident, Rishikesh Pavale, tried to stop them, they turned violent. Armed with sticks, the mob entered an alley near Kurkute Hospital and began damaging vehicles while shouting abuses.  

During the rampage, two auto-rickshaws and 10 to 12 two-wheelers were vandalized. The sudden violence left residents in fear.  

The accused initially fled the scene but have now been taken into custody. Police are investigating the matter further.
