As soon as the match concluded with India’s win, people rushed outside to celebrate, setting off fireworks across several parts of the city. Key areas such as Begumpet, Secunderabad, Uppal, Nacharam and Mallapur saw the night sky illuminated with bursts of colour and light. Cricket enthusiasts who had been eagerly waiting for the moment did not hold back in expressing their joy.

“I purchased firecrackers at the last moment and finally got a chance to burst them tonight,” said Amaresh, a resident of Mallapur. Many others had already stocked up firecrackers in anticipation of the victory, ensuring they could partake in the festivities without delay.
