Highways department renews road to IT Park at Navalpattu

The State Highways department has completed renewing the Navalpattu IT Park-Gundur Road in the city.

The road, branching off from the Tiruchi-Pudukkottai National Highway, runs for 4.7 km leading to the ELCOT’s IT Park at Navalpattu. The four-lane road, which was laid in 2016, has been renewed at an estimate of ₹5.47 crore under the Comprehensive Road Infrastructure Development Programme.

On Sunday, K.G. Sathyaprakash, Chief Engineer, Highways (Construction and Maintenance), inspected the road to check for quality of the work. Divisional Engineers J. Kannan and Chandrasekar (Quality Control) were present.
