The Congress has launched a fierce attack on the BJP-led government in Rajasthan, accusing it of failing to control lawlessness and protect women.

Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra and former CM Ashok Gehlot slammed the Bhajanlal government, citing recent incidents of violence that highlight a breakdown in governance.

Amid ongoing outrage over the gang rape of a minor in Tonk, a disturbing video has surfaced on social media showing a man being brutally beaten with sticks while lying on the ground.

Sharing the video on X, Dotasra targeted Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s government, calling it "helpless and powerless" in the face of rising crime.

"Rajasthan has never witnessed such open hooliganism, murders, and criminal audacity. The so-called #पर्ची_सरकार (slip government) only boasts, but in reality, it is completely incapable. The gang rape of a minor in Tonk and the shocking brutality in Jhunjhunu expose the worsening law and order situation under BJP rule," Dotasra wrote.

While the police have registered a case, the opposition argues that FIRs alone are not enough to restore public confidence.

Former CM Ashok Gehlot has also escalated the attack, urging the BJP government to review the state's deteriorating law and order. Citing media reports, he alleged that Rajasthan now tops the country in cases of rape against minors under BJP rule.

"The blackmailing and gang rape of a minor Dalit girl in Tonk and the shocking exploitation of schoolgirls in Ajmer show that criminals no longer fear the law. The Chief Minister must immediately convene a meeting with the Home and Police Departments to address the worsening situation," Gehlot posted on X.

"Has the credibility of Rajasthan police become so weak that the common people have to take the help of police even to carry out their religious and cultural activities?" he asked.

Gehlot also accused the BJP of deceiving farmers, alleging that the government has failed to fulfill its pre-election promise of purchasing crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP).

"BJP came to power in Rajasthan by promising to buy crops at MSP. But today, farmers are struggling, forced to sell groundnut and millet below the MSP. The government has completely turned its back on them," he wrote.

With rising crime and growing unrest among farmers, Congress is intensifying its offensive against the BJP government.
