AP govt fetes ‘GI Man’ Rajani Kant
Varanasi: The govt of Arunachal Pradesh recently felicitated Varanasi-based promoter of GI (Geographical Indication) products, Padma Shri Rajani Kant, also known as the ‘GI Man of India', for his exemplary contribution in obtaining GI registration of 18 indigenous textiles, agriculture, handloom, and handicraft products from Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Pradesh governor Lieutenant General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, CM Pema Khandu, deputy CM Chowna Mein, and Union minister Kiren Rijiju feliciated him at a grand function organised in Itanagar on Feb 20, to celebrate the state's 39th Statehood Day. "I am happy to receive the honour from the govt of Arunachal Pradesh," Kant told TOI. tnn
