The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) supports routine transit maintenance projects to ensure the safety and efficiency of public transportation systems. According to Sound Transit’s official service notice, this planned suspension will allow crews to clean storm sewers, replace rail switches, and inspect fiber communications systems.
To minimize disruptions, Sound Transit will provide free Link Shuttle buses to replace light rail service between Capitol Hill and SODO stations.
These shuttles will stop at:

Passengers traveling south from Capitol Hill must exit the train, board a shuttle bus, and reconnect with the Link light rail at SODO Station. Those traveling north through SODO will exit at SODO, take a shuttle to Capitol Hill, and continue their journey by train.
