Health Minister Ma. Subramanian inaugurated a completed indoor sports facility at Jafferkhanpet in ward 139 of Kodambakkam zone of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC).
The facility, built at a cost of ₹37 lakh under the Mayor’s Special Development Fund, is for indoor sports activities such as carrom, chess, and badminton, a press release said.
Later, Mr. Subramanian distributed prizes and certificates to students who excelled in various competitions at the Chennai Higher Secondary School in Jafferkhanpet. Mayor R. Priya, along with elected representatives and GCC officials, was present.
