247 offenders caught harassing women during Numaish by SHE teams

The SHE Teams of Hyderabad City Police apprehended 247 persons for misbehaving with women during the Nampally Exhibition (Numaish) 2025, held between January 3 and February 17.

Of the 247 cases, 37 petty cases were officially booked, said the police. “Among these, two offenders were sentenced to serve two days in prison, while 33 others were fined ₹1,050 each. One individual was fined ₹50, and another was sentenced to two days of simple imprisonment along with a ₹50 fine,” a police official said.

Further, 190 individuals were let off with warnings after undergoing counselling, while 20 cases remain pending legal disposal. Of the total offenders caught, 223 were adults, and 24 were minors.
