Speculation regarding the divorce of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, has emerged on social media, hinting at a possible split. Reports suggest that Yuzvendra could be liable for alimony amounting to Rs 60 crore. Nonetheless, both parties are yet to provide any official confirmation or denial regarding these rumors.

The rumors intensified when Yuzvendra reportedly removed all their shared photos from his social media, while Dhanashree retained some on her profile. Dhanashree has previously tackled similar rumors, labeling them as unfounded. She criticized “faceless trolls” on social media for disseminating false information and encouraged individuals to be skeptical of what they encounter online. In January 2025, Yuzvendra also released a statement urging the public to refrain from engaging in unfounded speculation. He highlighted that these rumors were causing significant distress for him and his family, stressing that gossip on social media should not be regarded as truth. Nevertheless, conversations regarding their supposed separation continue to persist.
The discussion surrounding the Rs 60 crore alimony has gained significant attention across multiple platforms, yet no reliable source has confirmed this figure. Users on social media are actively debating the feasibility of such a substantial amount, taking into account Yuzvendra’s cricket income and Dhanashree’s successful career as a choreographer and influencer.
The couple, who got married in December 2020 after getting engaged in August the same year, were seen as one of the most admired pairs in the sports and entertainment industry. Their love story began during the COVID-19 lockdown when Yuzvendra came across Dhanashree’s dance videos on social media. He reached out to her for dance lessons, and their professional connection soon turned into a romantic relationship, leading to marriage.
Recent reports connecting Yuzvendra to RJ Mahvash have heightened the intensity of rumours surrounding them. The speculation began when RJ Mahvash shared photos from a Christmas celebration in 2024, which featured Yuzvendra, sparking additional curiosity about his personal life.
Yuzvendra Chahal has recently posted a story on Instagram that has intensified speculation. In his post, Chahal expressed, “I can only imagine how many times God has saved me.”

Yuzvendra continues to concentrate on his cricket career despite everything happening around him. He was recently acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 18 crore in IPL 2025, solidifying his position as a key player in the league. At the same time, Dhanashree is engaged in her own professional endeavors, which encompass dance projects and content creation.
Yuzvendra Chahal made his international debut on June 11, 2016, at the Harare Sports Club against Zimbabwe. In his One Day International (ODI) career, he has claimed 121 wickets across 69 innings in 72 matches, maintaining an average of 27.13. In the T20 format, Chahal has secured 96 wickets in 80 games.
At one point, he held the record as India’s leading wicket-taker in T20 Internationals; however, he is currently not part of the national team. His most recent T20I appearance was against the West Indies on August 13, 2023.
