Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A massive fire broke out in the Nipania area of Indore on wee hours of Wednesday, engulfing seven shops one after another.
According to information, the fire caused significant damage, burning furniture, goods, and over a dozen bikes parked in a garage.
Firefighters had to use more than nine tankers of water to control the blaze.
According to Fire Brigade SI Sushil Dubey, the fire started in the Tulsi Nagar area. It completely destroyed two hardware shops, a sweet shop, a puja materials store, an auto garage, an aluminum section shop, and a pizza outlet. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit.
Local residents noticed flames coming from the shops around 4:20 AM and immediately informed the fire department. Two fire brigade vehicles were sent to the scene. Firefighters worked for more than four hours to bring the fire under control.
15 Bikes Burnt In Fire
The fire also destroyed one bike parked at Sanwariya Dairy Shop and nearly 15 bikes inside Om Sai Auto Parts and Garage.
Dubey stated that all the shops had tin sheds and were packed with goods, which fueled the fire.
According to the fire team, the following shops were completely burnt:
Indore Enterprises (owned by Ashwin Gupta)
A hardware shop (owned by Prakash Gupta)
Sanwariya Sweets and Dairy (owned by Mehrban Singh)
Shreeji Puja Material Shop (owned by Keshav and Seema)
Om Sai Ram Auto Parts and Sarvaiya Garage (owned by Rahul)
Mahakal Fabrication (owned by Rahul Vishwakarma)
Wow Pizza (owned by Bobby)
The fire destroyed wooden materials, doors, machines, refrigerators, bikes, and electrical items from the pizza shop.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and assessing the total damage.
