Experts, officers discuss women’s health issues
Lucknow: A workshop on women's health and mental well-being was organized by the Land Port Authority of India, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, at the conference hall of Land Port Authority, Rupaidiha.
The workshop, which primarily addressed menstrual health and hygiene awareness, saw participation from 90 female staff members from various organizations including Land Port Authority, SSB, Nepal Land Port Authority, Food Quarantine Nepal, Nepal Customs, Nepal Immigration, Municipal Council, and Civil Police.
Speakers Priyanka Saxena and Sweta Chahal Vaishy from Lucknow, along with Nepal ICP's Karuna Chaudhary, shared valuable insights with the participants.
A parallel session on "Inter-relation of Gender and Mental Health" was also conducted, featuring Simran Singh, Priyanka Saxena, Karuna Pandey from Lucknow, Nepal Customs Chief Janarjan Poudal, Uma Shankar Vaishy, Municipal Council Chairman, and Chief Guest Anjali Yadav (Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nanpara).
In her address, Anjali Yadav emphasized, "It's heartening to see open discussions about women's health awareness and mental health. Mental well-being not only enhances work efficiency but also ensures family happiness."
The workshop witnessed participation from Indo-Nepal staff members, teachers, students, social workers, and journalists. Land Port Authority Manager Sudhir Sharma welcomed the guests, while Security In-charge Ram Niranjan delivered the vote of thanks.
