DDU Gorakhpur Univ unveils ‘Literary Wall’
Gorakhpur: The department of English at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University unveiled its ‘Literary Wall' on Monday evening, marking a unique blend of creativity and academia. Vice-chancellor professor Poonam Tandon inaugurated the artwork, conceptualized and designed by research scholars, and lauded their efforts in enriching the university's cultural space.
Professor Tandon emphasized that while research is vital, students' creative contributions add immense value. "Their artistic vision and execution are truly inspiring," she remarked. The ‘Literary Wall,' adorned with timeless quotes from ancient to modern literary icons, features a striking tree with words of celebrated writers on its branches. Below, figures of a boy and girl engrossed in books symbolize the enduring power of literature.
HoD, professor Ajay Kumar Shukla, said the initiative is a part of the university's 75th anniversary celebrations and aligns with the ‘My Campus, My Pride, My Responsibility' initiative.
