Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced a major expansion of its global flight network for 2025, introducing over 10 new destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
This strategic move aims to enhance international connectivity and cater to rising global travel demand, following a 16% increase in international passengers last year.
According to Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the aviation sector is a key component of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to position Saudi Arabia as a leading global travel hub.

H.E. Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, emphasized the airline’s long-term strategy for expansion, stating:
“Following last year’s operational success, we’ve implemented a strategic plan for 2025 to ensure continued excellence. Our destination selection is based on comprehensive feasibility studies and guest preferences. We remain committed to providing world-class travel experiences with efficiency and authentic Saudi hospitality.”
This expansion is in line with Saudi Arabia’s goal of welcoming 100 million annual visitors by 2030, as outlined by the Saudi Tourism Authority.
Saudia operates a modern fleet of 147 aircraft, including Boeing and Airbus models, recognized for safety, fuel efficiency, and advanced in-flight features. The airline is set to receive 118 new aircraft in the coming years to further boost its global operations.
