Two killed, two injured in road accident in Bannerghatta

Two people were killed and two injured when their car crashed into a roadside tree in Ragihalli forest area in Bannerghatta police station limits on Monday night.

The deceased have been identified as Shahahuq, 28, businessman and driver of the car and Arshu P Basheer, 23, pursuing MBA in T John college.

The injured Deva Narayana, 23, and Sahil, 23, are classmates of Arshu and were sitting at the back. The victims are from Kerala and were staying in hostel, the police said. The police alleged that the victims were inebriated and Shahahuq lost control while negotiating a curve and crashed into the tree.

Passers-by alerted the police who shifted the victims to the hospital. The police are awaiting post-mortem report while a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver.
